SNAPP Overview
SNAPP has been designed to allow you to easily collect information available from SNMP-enabled devices and analyze changes in that data over time. SNAPP uses a fast data collector written in C and has an easy to use web based frontend written in Perl.
- Persistent, multi-threaded SNMP data collector, written in C. Allows for short intervals between collections
- Uses RRD for data storage
- Web based frontend written in Perl/CGI allows for easy management and viewing of collections
- Customized graphing and Nth percentile reporting, allowing users to select specific timeframes and SNMP variables to show
- Custom views allow a user to group sets of graphs together on a single HTML page
- Collection Classes specify a set of characteristics which apply to several collections (such as what SNMP variables are to be collected, what types of instance mappings apply, default thresholds)
- E-mail reporting of links over a specified threshold
- Archive area for old collections
